Racquet Rouges enjoy a measure of success; "Handsome" Hans Lopez wins title

  BCSL Open Third Singles Champion

The Flashes Guys reached the championship round in all five matches, unfortunately they had to face mighty Moorestown in four of those matches

In the Quarter Finals, Miguel "The Colonel" Coronel took first singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win over J. Kearns of Cinnaminson, Milo "The Mighty" Miloscoveci was victorious at the second singles spot winning 6-0, 6-0 over B. McCartney of Palmyra, and "Hansome" Hans Lopez who was filling in for the injured Ben "Marathon Man" Pinter handled Burlington City's D. Linder 6-3, 6-0 in the third singles match.
In the doubles matches, Josh "Boost" Partyka & Russell "Mock" Molimock defeated the Burlington Township duo 6-4, 6-1 at first doubles and Usman "Sheik" Huq & Nick "Nicky-B" Bencze were winners at the second doubles spot with a 6-0, 6-0 pasting of the team from Palmyra

The winning ways continued into the Semi's;"The Colonel" was victorious again at first singles defeating J. Wilkens of Rancocas Valley 6-1, 6-4, "The Mighty One" was his usual self winning his second singles match against Rancocas Valley's Z. Wilkens 6-1, 6-0 and "Hansome" Hans came from behind to win third singles, 2-6, 7-5, 6-1 over M. Levine of Rancocas Valley. In the doubles matches the "Boost" & "Mock" combo took the Cinnaminson team 6-4, 6-1 in first doubles and the dynamic duo of "Nicky-B" & the "Sheik" bested the Cinnaminson pair in second doubles.

When it came to the finals however, the Racqute Rouges were no match for the perrinial powerhouse that is Moorestown. The Rouges have met the Moorestown Mighty Men twice this season and have yet to win a match but the mighty men of Moorestown will be the first to tell you that they never look past the Racquet Rouges nor take them lightly. When it comes to competetiveness the Flashes rank right up there with the big boys of the larger schools having only lost to Moorestown, Seneca, Haddonfield and Absagami. Moorestown won all four of their matches over the "Rouges" but where there was no Moorestown, there was Florence, "Hansome" Hans Lopez won the Third Singles Championship for the Flashes only victory.
